Utilizing Unified Conversations

Conversations is a unique and useful way to ask questions or discuss with other doctors about your patient's images. Conversations allows you to collaborate on patient charts with multiple providers for feedback, guidance, or second opinions on specific questions.

To get started, you will first have to create a Cohort, or a group of doctors you'll be sharing to. You can view a guide here.

 

How to pose a question to a Cohort

1. Create a Cohort if you have not already - click here.

2. Open a patient you would like to discuss with colleagues

3. Click "Conversations" at the top of the page, or a chat bubble with a plus in it

4. Click "Share Patient" in the side panel that appears

5. Click "Select a Cohort" > click a Cohort created in step 1

6. Enter a question in the blank field that you would like to pose to the Cohort

7. Click "Share"

Your colleagues inside the selected Cohort will now receive an email (and text message if configured) with an encrypted link to this patient. Continue reading below for information on how to reply to a question.

How to revoke a Cohort's access to a patient

If you would like to revoke a Cohort's access to a patient in the future, you may click Share > click Cohort > find the Cohort you would like to revoke > click the "X" icon.

How to open the Conversation panel

Once a question has been posted, or someone has commented on a post, everyone in the Cohort will receive an email. If you would like to receive text messages when a new question or comment has appeared, you may configure the app to do so by going to the account settings.

• By default, a notification will appear in the top right of Unified, and the bell icon will have an unread badge next to it. You may click "a patient" or the patient name to directly open the conversation panel.

 

By default, the patient name is hidden in notifications. If you would like to disable this feature as shown in the picture above, you may click your organization in the top right > click settings > check "Show Patient Name by Default"

How to post a new question

1. Open the Conversations panel using one of the above methods

2. Click "Post a comment to '[Cohort]' > type your question > click "+" (number 1 below)

How to reply to a question or post

1. Open the conversations panel using one of the above methods

2. Click "Reply to this topic..." > type your reply > click "+" (number 2 below)

How to upvote/downvote a question or comment

1. Open the conversation panel using one of the above methods.

2. Click the corresponding thumbs up or thumbs down buttons, and a number will change - indicating the score.
